Mud and training provider Noggin pilot bite-sized personal development podcast
Business-focussed audio podcasts don't get any better than this: take two articulate, intelligent people, put them in a room and let them talk about what they know best. The result: an unscripted, relaxed and engaging discussion about personal development for individuals and businesses.
Mud was initially approached by Noggin's PR team, who wanted to pilot the use of audio content as a means of delivering useful business information. In addition, they wanted to give potential customers a taste of the people behind Noggin - something which is crucial for a company that relies so heavily on its people talent.
After a consultation meeting with the founders of Noggin, Daryll Scott and Ben Houghton, we unanimously agreed to keep things simple. Daryll and Ben wanted to do something that wouldn't eat up too much of their time, and were also keen to avoid doing something too 'stuffy' or scripted. They are engaging, intelligent characters who were comfortable talking without plans or scripts, so the chosen format seemed like the natural choice.
The discussion, which centred on the subject of 'handling performance discussions', was recorded on-site in Noggin's offices last month. We think it turned out great, and we plan to pilot the podcast series over the next few months. We'd love to get some feedback, so have a listen and let us know what you think.
